At CFHTC, we encourage you to grow in God, as there are so many benefits to growing in Him! Don’t become stifled by the distractions of the world, but draw nearer to Him that you will produce much fruit.
“Let your roots grow down into Him and draw up nourishment from Him. See that you go on growing in the Lord and become strong and vigorous in the truth you were taught…” (Colossians 2:7 TLB).
Below, are 8 Keys to Growing in God.

Key 1: Memorize and Meditate on God's Word
Joshua 1:8 (KJV)
Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.
Key 2: Seek Wisdom
James 1:5 (KJV)
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Key 3: Obey God's Word
John 14:15 (KJV)
If ye love me, keep my commandments.
Key 4: Commit to Community
Mark 10:45 (NIV)
For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.

Key 5: Serve Others
Galatians 5:13–14 (KJV)
For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another. For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.
Key 6: Give Generously
2 Corinthians 9:6-7 (NIV)
Remember this: Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

1 Thessalonians 5:18
Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Key 8: Trust in God's Promises (NIV)
Psalm 145:13
Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations. The LORD is trustworthy in all he promises and faithful in all he does.
